GO.
We believe Christ's command for us is to
go beyond the four walls of our church
building to spread the good news of
God's love, mercy, grace, and
forgiveness. Acts 1:8 reads, "You
shall be witnesses to me in Jerusalem,
and in all of Judea and Samaria, and to
the end of the earth." Jesus
commanded his disciples, and us still
today, to go out into the world to share
our faith with those who are lost.
Faith is not something to keep bound up
inside the church -- it is to be taken
out to those who need it.
BE.
We believe Christ teaches that we are to
be disciples for Him. Both inside
and outside the church, we are commanded
to teach others what the Bible says.
For some, this comes in roles such as
Sunday School teachers, preachers, or
missionaries, while others may simply be
called to share God's love with their
neighbor, co-worker, or fellow student.
No matter what each person's calling may
be, we believe every Christian is called
to be teachers of the Word and disciples
of its teaching.
DO.
Matthew 28:19-20 tells us, "Go
therefore and make disciples
of all the nations, baptizing them in
the name of the Father and of the Son
and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to
observe all things that I have commanded
you." God has called us to do His
work. We are His hands and feet;
he ministers through Christians.
The same way He used Moses to free the
slaves, he uses each and every one of us
to carry out his plan in other people's
lives. We are not only to be "knowers"
of the Word, we are also to be "doers"
of the Word.
If Christians will follow God's command
to "Go, Be, Do," people can be reached,
and God's Kingdom can be expanded. |
